Metron was established as an entrepreneurship in 1970 in the ownership of Agoston Sagi in Novi Sad.
In 1990 legal rights are met to establish a private enterprise Metron. Same year Metron in Hungary was established and in 1994 in Romania.

Basic activity of Metron is:
Representation of internationally recognized manufacturers of laboratory and measuring equipment , quantity and quality control instruments, sales and service. Also we provide laboratory services for agricultural and food products.

D.o.o. Novi Balkan is a company that mainly deals with wholesale trade of grains, grain products and raw materials for cattle feed on foreign markets. Novi Balkan also provides translation services for Serbian, Albanian and English. Additionally, we provide various other services in international trade.

Novi Balkan has been successfully maintaining its presence in the markets of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Macedonia. We annually export about thirty thousand tons of grains and grain products to those markets, usually by rail (TAD rail cars) and by trucks. In addition to the 75 TAD NHM 1005 rail cars at our disposal, we also have the logistical support to transport merchandise with them from and to the ports of Bar (Montenegro) and Rijeka (Croatia).
